Welcome to Warbird Wednesday! Today is part 4 of our series at Edwards Air Force Base with the prestigious United States Air Force Test Pilot School. Joining us is Mr. Dicarie “Dojo” Williamson. 

Dojo will discuss the focus on human factors and human performance in relation to technology integration. He explains the emphasis and the importance of understanding human limitations when designing complex systems, especially in high-pressure environments like the test pilot school. Dojo’s research involves measuring and analyzing human capabilities such as short-term memory, multi-limb coordination, speed, and accuracy to determine limitations and improve system design. The segment also includes a demonstration involving a picture where participants are tasked with detecting a single change, emphasizing the importance of keen observation and awareness in human performance evaluations.
