ERCO Ercoupe – Warbird Wednesday Episode 40
Welcome to Warbird Wednesday! Today we continue down the path of light aircraft with the Erco Ercoupe. This aircraft was designed by Fred Weick and first flown in 1937. It was initially manufactured by the Engineering and Research Corporation shortly before World War II; several other manufacturers continued its production after the war.
J-3 Cub – Warbird Wednesday Episode 39
Welcome to Warbird Wednesday! The J-3 Cub was introduced in 1938 and had a simple, lightweight design which gives it good low-speed handling properties and short-field performance. This aircraft was used in the Civilian Pilot Training Program (CPTP) to assist with military preparedness.
